Today, I have gone shopping.
Shopping may be a little exaggerated.
Today, I went into town to buy some necessities.
I went to Boots - a drugstore. The things I bought were for the care of my body, although mainly hair-related; as you can see below.

The choice each product was mostly based on the price. I wanted to go for cheaper options in general, as I didn't have much money on me. Altogether, this cost me £26.97. And that with a total saving of £7.92… :/
I needed shampoo, because a funny thing happened over christmas: I left my boarding school with a half full bottle of shampoo as well as conditioner. It was cheap, nothing extreme, just that raspberry one everyone in the UK seems to have, you know? Anyways, thank goodness I still had my John Frieda Frizz-Control bottles, but they seemed to be near their end as well.
Anyways, I chose these two shampoo & conditioner bottles by Vo5 (both 500ml) as they were reduced by £2.00 to £1.99 each. I chose the line "Smoothly does it", as it says that it is "for dry, frizzy hair". And also they both also act as "heat defense", which is very good, as I like to straighten my hair - without heat protectant… yeah. I know - guilty.
Speaking of which, I had to get myself some "large selectioning clips" from Boots essential, because I think… my other ones have disappeared. Just like the shampoo. But into my sister's possession. Oops… haha :)
4 large ones £3.59
Bobby pins! Or "black hair grips", as they call it, from Boots essentials, because somehow us women keep running out. I was convinced to have plenty, until I ended tidying my room yesterday. Turns out I have pathetically few. So there we are.
30 pieces for £1.49.
After having showered I like to loosely clip my hair up with a big hair clip. Unfortunately, as usually, my other two broke a while ago. This hair clip from Scunci was worth £4.00.
Next Friday we have an event called Epiphany, which is a fancy meal at school. Within the next 4 months I have 4 other such events, which is why I had to get myself and the other girls hairspray. As I thought any would do the job, I thought this cheap one would do: "Maximum hold" hairspray from boots, 450 ml, for £1.65.
The last essential thing I needed was moisturizer. One can not forget to wear moisturizer even in winter. Especially in winter. I rarely open my windows in winter, as that is way too cold. But I constantly have my heaters on, which takes all the humidity out of the room! So my lips get cracks and sometimes bleed, my hands feel dry, etc. etc.
So I needed a moisturizer. Unluckily, the soap&glory Hand Food was out, so my next best option was Neutrogena's hand creme, norwegian formula. £2.76. I remember this hand creme from childhood; my mother always had it. And I remember it working greatly. So I am eager to give this a chance again!
Next step was to go onto the nail polish remover, obviously. I didn't really care about the brand, but payed attention to it being acetone free. So Boots for £1.00 it is!
Last stop before the cash till: Soap&Glory "No Clogs Allowed" self-heating mask! This just sounds like a lot of fun, don't you think? I will try it out tonight and use it weekly, as recommended. Then soon I can put a review up for you! So make sure to check back soon.
Is there anything else I should get next time or another mask you can recommend?
Bisous xx
