So, basically, the temperature in Germany and France - where I have spent the Christmas days - has been around 12°C. That is not cold.

So, to get me into the wintery mood, I have looked at some of last year's pictures!
Because...
It's only Christmas when it snows!
And thus...
I received an advent calendar from my mother! She sent me loads of decorations too! :)
Because we have several german pupils boarding at the school, we traditionally have a 'St. Nicholas' going around the house on the night before December 6th, who puts chocolate, nuts and an orange into the boot. That Boot is polished by the children and adults the evening before and placed in front of the bedroom door. Isn't that cute? :)
In boarding, we also organized a Secret Santa! The budget limit was 5 pounds, so that everyone could and would participate. It was actually really fun!
Can't forget the treats...

Now, last year I had a roommate. She was really lovely and we got along great. That is, until we weren't roommates in this new school year any longer and she found 'cooler friends' (apparently, as it seems), so she stopped talking to us. Therefore, we kind of fell out. Sadly, I regret that.
Anyhow, we didn't get each other big presents, but wrote each other creative cards. She bought one I had seen on our shopping weekend - and really loved! - and it lights up! I, on the other hand, cut out words and letters from magazines and made this!
