So, as promised on Instagram earlier, I went out for dinner last night with my father and sister. We went to a swiss restaurant nearby, which I really wanted to go to. It makes awesome Fondues! It's called "Schweizweit" and located in Hamburg, Germany. So if you ever go there, I highly recommend it! It's like a cute cubby hole and you have to go downstairs, actually, to go inside.
So we went there, and had our Fondue. It costs about €18 per Person - and is SO worth it, as all the little side dishes are inclusive and it is all you can eat (or as they call it "Refill as often as you like"). But I swear to you: These portions get you stuffed.
Above you can see my hand coming out the bottom left, my sister sitting opposite me, my father to my right.
First: a starter. A salad, which is incredibly fresh. Love it! Just don't stuff yourself too much… I don't think we got bread with it, for a very good reason!

Bread stuffs, and so you would be full before starting. And bread is also - next to cheese - the main ingredient of a Fondue!
So, whoever does not know yet what a fondue is, it's basically melted cheese in a pot - to be very basic.
You have special pots and also specific types of cheese that are "recommended", I would say. Then there are also special forks, which you can see to the right of mine. The have tiny teeth; it's basically a skewer with a tiny fork at the front.
That is because you spear the bite-size chunks of bread onto it, which you then stir into the pot until it is covered in cheese - as you can see below.

But be aware to not drop the bread into the pot! If so, there is a tradition that you either have to hop around the table on one leg or something else silly, which we would agree on before the dinner would begin. If you are at a restaurant, maybe you will not want to jump around a table.
Why not something like: You must drink up your entire coke, then we'll order you a new one (for the next time the bread falls in)?

Now, although I love this, sometimes it's a bit boring with only bread. Thus, you receive a variety of other foods to dunk in, such as potatoes, mushrooms and gherkins. Bread and potato still remain my favorites.
What else would you cover in that cheese?

But now the exciting bit, which I promised on Instagram. The christmas present(s)!
First, I shall start with my grandmother's gift (and I'll save the best for last!!

She gave me a funny card and - because I didn't ask for anything - gave me some money, which I am putting aside. I am not one to get tons of money from everyone on every occasion (and certainly do not mean to brag about this, I am merely being honest and sharing this with you). The thing is, I don't really want / need much at the moment, but I know that I want to travel this summer. Because that is when I'm over and done with school! And boy am I going that enjoy that! So my family want me to enjoy that time as much as I can, as well. They support me, which is nice. :)
Please note that I didn't take these pictures whilst unpacking, but when I was at home, as I thought that would be more polite. That is why the packaging - which indeed was very lovely! - is kind of destroyed and the paper is only drapped over the gifts.
Anyhow, I thought it was a very cute idea to put one of these christmas tree ornaments (as seen above) onto the ribbon on the presents! Definitely keeping those for next year!!

Now, onto my father's gifts. He gave me one big, soft, mushy pack and a quite small, square, hard one. I started with the small one.
First, I glanced over to my sister who was equally unwrapping her presents. She had just opened up the small one, which was a lipstick from a brand called 'Finland'. Apparently the brand many professionals make-up artists use. I was a little disappointed, but in the end could have easily lived with it. It didn't bother me too much.
But in fact this next present is extraordinarily awesome.

My small present is a MAC Blush!!! Oh my goodness, this got me really excited. Like, really. I own two blushes - which, as some may argue, is enough and other, on the other hand, will have tons more - although one of them is a very very cheap, bad one and nearly empty. The second one is my little sweetheart. It is from lancome, smells nice and is adorable, even without me adding that it was part of my first proper little high street make-up kit, which was my mother's gift to me on my first (dance) Ball/as in prom. (Outside school, it was with a dancing school).
Anyway...
Anyway...
Onto the bigger present(s), I must say, I did not expect much from my father, as I had previously been a bit disappointed throughout the year… That means, I said I want this and only this, or I need that and that is all. Instead got something very different. I am sure I am not the only one who has experienced that… However, I am not an ungrateful child, in fact I am extremely thankful.
But, anyways, my father surprised me again!!!

Told you he surprised me ;)
This is not my first Abercrombie & Fitch (A&F) hoodie, but the first thicker one! Also a new one, so it won't have any holes in it yet, as many of my other ones now have. :P
I think most of my clothes are blue or - now - grey/black. I guess I am just still a bit in my comfort zone. I remember that one year I tried to get brighter stuff, but then you always have to be so cautious about what to pair it with…
Besides, I like my style. In winter it's fluffy, fussy, warm, cozy, (often) oversized jumpers. You'll find out rapidly!
But there was another thing in that pack...

"THE A&F SKINNY" are sweatpants from A&F. Or yoga pants or lounge pants, if you prefer. Extremely soft. So very comfy.
I was so excited to put them on, when I got them!!! I actually slept in them and already that same evening announced, that I'd wear them to the airport tomorrow! (Which is today!!)
There's a post coming up within 24 hours of me writing this about what I wore to the airport, make sure to check it out!! I personally absolutely love it. Hit the bull's eye of my style! If that is even possible… Anyhow, I feel very comfortable in it. <3

At last, I went to my mother's new apartment. She had already given me my christmas presents on christmas day, but had additionally bought me Chai Tea from "Marriage Frère", because I wanted chai tea. I had wanted the Vanilla Chai from Pink Flamingo, but sadly she couldn't find that one. :( But she got me this one!!! And I love Marriage Frère! My favorite tea from there is Earl Grey - French Blue, and it is that because of my father. His favorite tea; his fault I am addicted. ;) Thanks, dad!! But they have many good teas. A red one I could recommend is Thé à l'Opera, which is fruity and delicious. Maybe more suitable for children. Do you have a favorite tea you'd want to share with me? If you don't know this brand, please please do check it out!
The second thing she gave me was home-made apple sauce. :) (Not Pêche de Vigne, as it says on the pot). A great surprise and always a great success.

That was my evening and I am so grateful and thankful for all of it!!! But most of all, of course, just to have such a lovely and caring family. It is strange to experience how everyone is going their own way now, all at the same time, but such reunions are wonderful.
