So, as promised on Instagram earlier, I went out for dinner last night with my father and sister. We went to a swiss restaurant nearby, which I really wanted to go to. It makes awesome Fondues! It's called "Schweizweit" and located in Hamburg, Germany. So if you ever go there, I highly recommend it! It's like a cute cubby hole and you have to go downstairs, actually, to go inside.
Yes, this little girl is my sister. My one and only sister, my big sister. Anna.
This is the beginning of my own story. Well not really, because I want to introduce you to my family as it was before I was born. … So here we go.
My father is german, lived a long time in America (almost half his life, roughly 16 years, I believe).
His mother travelled from Germany to America and back with him and his younger brother 'M'. His father stayed in America until he passed away there, in Florida. In fact, it was just before my sister was born. He knew that my mother was pregnant, but was too ill to meet my baby sissi. :(
So we come to my mother:
She is french, which I love, and her entire family is, too. Okay, fine, her younger sister moved to switzerland some day and still lives there, but she is still french at heart. ;)
They were a typical family of 5 children, lived in/near the alps; a working father, housemother, obedient children; a lot of mountains, a lot of hiking and skiing, a lot of baguette and cheese! Throughout the years they moved from their hometown to another one, called "Annecy", built a house there (they built it themselves!) and my grandmother still lives there. - That is where I have always gone to on holiday.
