So, as promised on Instagram earlier, I went out for dinner last night with my father and sister. We went to a swiss restaurant nearby, which I really wanted to go to. It makes awesome Fondues! It's called "Schweizweit" and located in Hamburg, Germany. So if you ever go there, I highly recommend it! It's like a cute cubby hole and you have to go downstairs, actually, to go inside.
So this is Christmas…
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!
I have spent the last week catching up with my boyfriend, which was pretty awesome. :)
Because I am currently moving house, good friends of my family have very kindly invited us to come down to Frankfurt and spend christmas - the family holiday - with their family. I can't even express how thankful I am…
I will put pictures up of my christmas! Those can be found in my Photography tab.
Be aware: this is a BIG christmas post!
Until now - I must admit - I have been one spoilt child. I have gotten what I wanted. Last year, for example, I had gotten my iPhone 5!! This year it cracked, unfortunately… But it's still fine! Planning on keeping it at least another year… it's not that old yet! :P
So, anyway, this year I wanted/needed two things: A certain cardigan - Abercrombie. They are so fluffy, cuddly, and warm! - and a certain iPhone case - I gave my mom and sister a selection of two beautiful ones -.
Let's not forget the children at Christmas!! They are the main people being gifted on this day. For children, the best part about Christmas is always to wake up and receive presents, in order to be the happiest they can be for the rest of the day - spending Christmas day with the family, friends and dearest ones.
Or in whichever order you traditionally do it.
Children are easiest to please, I think. Although I can distinctively remember being quite disappointed one Christmas…
Basically: I advise you to stick to the wish list. As obvious or silly as this may sound, you should know what would make them happy.
Here are my suggestions:
Who run the world?? ;)
For a woman, I say as a woman, it is not hard to find a perfect gift.
But it is possible to go terribly wrong. … that is when I think of the gifts I have gotten, mainly from males. I see so many things on a daily basis that I would enjoy owning! (By that I do not mean that I want to have a lot and have an extensive wish list, but rather if someone gave it to me I would be far more than happy!) And yet… Some people just appear to think too hard.
Because the holiday season is approaching (it officially starts in 3 days! So excited! A countdown for the start of a countdown?!
Seems legit. I approve.) - and I know what a right pain it can be to find gifts for the males in your life - here is a little series I will follow through for the next month.
I personally already had most Christmas presents in September… - Oops! -
This will include DIY ideas (which I may blog about another time), different price ranges, different interests and for different people.
Today it will be about the men in out life - father, husband, brother, son, boyfriend, lover, a male friend. won't cover young children in this post though, because that is a whole other story. And arguably much easier too.
Today I was inspired to create a present for my boyfriend. I wanted to give him "100 reasons why I love [him]".
At first I thought of writing them onto a sort of scroll that he could roll out further and further. Then I thought of the classical way: putting the reasons into a jar / vase / bottle…
After going shopping and not finding what I was looking for, I found this wooden box I own, which my former best friend has painted for me (on request). It is of that magenta color - which you can see in the pictures below - all over the outside and has a pearl-white heart on the front.
Apart from it being pink… I thought it was suitable for this gift. :)
